Bucket List

     Hello, I'm Sungwon and I'll post my last post in GLPS, the Bucket List. I'm going to write 5 things about the future goals before I die. Let me talk about it.

     First, I will improve my guitar skills more and more. Playing guitar is so interesting and when I listen the guitar sound, I feel something beautiful. So, I will play my guitar everyday. That will be a big enjoying in my life.
     Second, I will improve my English ability. English is a necessary language to communicate with many other foreigners. So, I will speak English as possible as I can. That will be a benefit for my teenager life.
     Third, I will go to America or England. I really want to go there because Korea is too small and I want to contact many cultures and views of foreign countries. I want to go with my friends and share feelings with them.
     Fourth, I will see newspaper everyday. I'm not good at common sense and news in the world. I want to be smart at those things. Then I will be able to prepare the future more practically.
     Lastly, I will make many friends. I don't think I have many friends now. I want to know the variation of human minds and think about it. That is why I'm trying to understand many people who I know.

     I have spent a good time in GLPS better than I thought. I learned many things such as trial, presentation, blogging, golf and so on. Now I want to come KMLA for high school because of the programs, facilities, and delicious food. Thank you.

Reflection

     Hello, I'm Sungwon and I'm going to reflect myself. At GLPS, I tried to accomplish my goals. I will check all of my goals. Now let me explain about the results.

     My first goal was to master the electric guitar song "Canon". I played my guitar almost everyday, and practiced many other songs hard. However, I couldn't master the song because it needs the skill named "Sweep Picking" which I said before. So, I'm going to practice other songs that need sweep picking, too. Also, I will set the time when I will play my guitar.

     My second goal was to make many friends. I'm satisfied with this goal because I enjoy being with them. My best friends are HyunTae, Sungwoo, Jaewon, and so on. I'm very happy at that I'm living with them and I don't want to leave them. They made me impressive by my birthday party, and made me interesting by dancing with them. They are better than my middle school friends absolutely.

     My last goal was to improve my English ability. I think I should change this goal to a small one. I made 4 EOP violations. I will change this goal into a basic thing, keeping EOP.

Photo Essay

     Hello, I'm SungWon Choi and I'm going to introduce some of the GLPS buildings and my roommates. I show you 7 pictures. 4 pictures are facilities and 3 pictures are my  roommates. Let me show you the buildings first.

     First picture is the dormitory. This building is all white and I like this design. Also, there are many trees and they are very natural.

These buildings are Chungmu building and Dasan building. In Chungmu building, we have history class. In Dasan building, we have debate class and math class. It is the view at 12th floor in dormitory. They are very beautiful, especially the blue roof.

This building is Minjok building. It's like a Korean traditional house. It is beautiful, too. The colors of roof and  wall is good to see. Also there are some flowers and they are great.

This place is the best place to play soccer. There is natural grass and it is very safe for our health. It's very big.

Next, let me show you our roommates.

Who is this guy? He is one of my roommate, Jang Hyuntae. He is 15 years old. He is wearing red shirt. Red clothes are very good for him. Also, he is holding the ball with his ankle! What an amazing pose! He can hold it for 2 minutes at maximum. He is very good at playing soccer.

The second roommate is Kang Sungwoo. He is wearing a cap and hitting the ball with a plastic bottle. That means that he is good at playing baseball. Also, he is very tall and has long arms and legs.

The last picture is all of my roommates except one person. The right upper person is me. The left upper boy is Kang Sungwoo, who I said already, and the right downer boy is Jang Hyuntae, who I also said already. The left downer boy who I didn't say is Kim Seunghyun. Finally, the central person is An Jungho who is my roommate and also my classmate.

I think the facilities of GLPS are very beautiful and colorful. Also, I think I have good friends to play and enjoy this camp with. I will enjoy the rest days. Thank you.

Creative writing "The Colony"

     Hello, I'm Sungone, and I'm going to make a creative writing. My story's name is "The Colony". My story's genre is fantasy, and the main characters are Gerrard and Sebastian. Now, let me explain about this story.

     This story begins in Europe. Gerrard and Sebastian were the best friends. They played gun fighting when they were young. They were very interested in gun fighting. One day, Gerrard got hurt by the bullet which was shot by Sebastian. Sebastian was very sorry and worried about the hurt. The hurt was cured, but the scar was remained. After that, Sebastian thought that he will never play the gun fighting again and he would never become a soldier. Also, Gerrard went to the shooting range with his father and saw his father shooting on the target exactly. His father was the soldier who treated guns very well. Gerrard was really excited and he wanted to use a real gun, but his father didn't allow it of course. Also, France invaded Germany at 2020. Germany defended it easily with their upgraded guns and weapons like jets or tanks. That is why Gerrard decided to be a German soldier at the future. One day, Gerrard and Sebastian talked about their future jobs. Gerrard said to Sebastian that he wants to be a German soldier. Then Sebastian said that if he becomes a soldier, he will regret about his job. Gerrard asked why. Sebastian answered that he should kill a lot of enemies. Gerrard said that enemies are people who invaded his country and they must get punishment by death. Sebastian disagreed it strongly because enemies are also lifes and killing them can't be true again. Then Sebastian told his grandfather's story. His grandfather experienced the World War 2. His grandfather was Jewish, and he was killed by German soldiers. Sebastian's father was very angry but he couldn't do anything. Unfortunately he was also Jewish, too. He added that the government should find another way instead of just killing them. Gerrard told his father's story, too. His father was working in Korea, but Korea was conquered and governed by Japan. Korea became a colony of Japan and Koreans were discriminated very much. After that, his father told him to be a soldier and keep his country. He told it to him everyday.

   After 20 years, Gerrard became a German soldier. At that time, France violated the peace treaty, and Germany was going to attack them. Gerrard arrived at France, and the war was occurred. Whiled shooting guns to the enemies, Gerrard found a familiar person who was running away. Then he got a gun shot and fell down. Gerrard looked at his face and Gerrard was very embarrassed. He was Sebastian! Then, what will happen?

Movie review "Princess Bride"

     Hello, I'm Sungwon. I'm going to review the movie "Princess Bride". This movie is made in 1987 and the director is Rob Reiner. This movie is fantasy. The characters are a sick boy, grandpa, Princess Buttercup, Westley, Prince Humperdinck, Fezzik the giant, Inigo the Spanish sword fighter, Vizzini, Count Rugen, Miracle Max, and so on. The setting is a farm, cliffs of insanity, shrieking eels, fire swamp, forest of thieves, pit of despair, and so on.

     This movie starts when the sick boy was playing the video game, then the grandpa comes to the boy's room and reads the book named "Princess Bride". This book starts on a farm. There were princess Buttercup and Westley. They loved each other. One day, Westley left the farm to get money to get married, but someone said that he was dead. Then princess Buttercup decided not to love anyone. So, she was got engaged with Prince Humperdinck and suddenly she was captured by Vizzini, Fezzik, and Inigo. Then, someone who wore a black mask came to them. He fought with Fezzik and Inigo, and won. Finally, he went to Vizzini. Vizzini threatened to kill Buttercup. So, the black man asked to bet and Vizzini accepted it. It was that the black man put the poison either of two glasses of wine, then he and Vizzini chose each one and drank it. The black man won and rescued Princess Buttercup. Then while they were running away from the legion of Prince Humperdinck, Princess Buttercup pushed the black man down the hill, and the mask was taken off. Surprisingly, he was Westley! (One more love scene added).  Then they ran away, but they were caught by Prince Humperdinck. They were moved to the kingdom. However, Buttercup refused to get married to Prince Humperdinck. Then he was very angry and tortured Westley with the machine which decreased his life. 15 years were decreased of Westley by Prince Humperdinck. Westley almost died. After that, Inigo and Fezzik heard Westley's loud shouting. They went to Westley and confirmed he was alive. Then they went to Miracle Max and asked him to save Westley. He accepted and restored Westley's life. Then Westley woke up, and they went to Buttercup. While they were going, they met soldiers, but Inigo defeated all of them. The boss of soldiers ran away, and Inigo chased him. Suddenly, he got hurts because of the short sword that the boss of soldiers threw. Inigo was painful, but he stood up. And Inigo kill him. Meanwhile, Westley arrived at Buttercup's room. Then Prince Humperdinck came and be tied on the chair. Then Inigo came to the room. There were Fezzik and 4 horses outside the window. So they fell out the window and ran away from the kingdom. That's the end of the movie.

     I think this movie was interesting, but it's not appropriate for children. It has too many kiss scenes! However, plots were really impressive to realize what the true love is.

Intro

     Hello, my name is SungWon Choi. I live in Seoul, and I'm a student of Gwanak Middle school. My favorite sports are baseball and soccer. When I'm playing baseball, I think I can hit any ball of pitchers, and I can catch any hit ball of batters. Also when I play soccer, I feel like that I'm flying and anyone can never follow me. Both baseball and soccer solve my stress. I like playing guitar, too. I like both fork guitar and electric guitar, but electric is better than fork. It has more frets, and I love the sound when I connect it to a speaker(Amp?). My favorite electric guitar song is "I'm alright" of Neil Zaza. When I feel depressed, I always listen this music and enjoy it. Also, I like Geeks' "Officially Missing You". I think its melody is the best of all songs. Playing guitar solves my stress, too.
     My favorite food is pizza and chicken. Once I start to eat them, I eat 12 pieces of pizza and 10 pieces of chicken easily. More is possible, of course. My favorite computer game is "Bloody Roar 2". Its other name is "DongmulCheolgwan." First, choose your character. There are wolf, mole, tiger, lion, and so on. You will fight with 8 characters. 7 characters are just animals without lion. The 8th stage is lion. His power is the strongest. If you don't die and clear all of 8 stages, you will play one more special stage and you will fight with black tiger. He has many combos and damage. I recommend this game.
     Now, I will introduce my goals. My first goal is to master the electric guitar song "Canon Rock". It's very famous song. It needs many skills. The most difficult skill is sweep picking. Sweep picking is moving your hand which has pick quickly. Your finger should be really fast. That's the way to make the song more exciting. To achieve this goal, I will practice this song everyday. That is why I brought my electric guitar to GLPS camp. And I will play other songs, too. If I only play "Canon Rock", my guitar ability won't develop. For example, I always play "I'm alright" and "Officially Missing You" with Canon Rock.
     My second goal is to make many friends. One year ago, I couldn't make many friends because I was introvert and I was a transfer student. I regret it now. To achieve this goal, I will talk to my classmates myself. Also, I will try to understand them. My last goal is to improve my English ability. I haven't been to English academy for a year, so I can't speak it well. To achieve this goal, I will keep EOP and I will watch English movie without Korean words.
